· Step 1: Remove Glass
To keep from breaking the precut pieces of glass, remove them from the package using an
X-acto Knife.

· Step 2: EXAMPLE: Foil Glass Pieces
Use 7/32 copper foil to foil all shamrock pieces, Position the glass in the center of the foil, wrapping the entire piece. Overlap the foil where the ends meet about 1/8. Use a fid or lathkin to burnish the foil. Burnishing smoothes the edges of the foil and adheres the sticky side of the copper foil tape to the glass.

Step 3: Assemble and Solder
Arrange each shamrock and hold in
place with push pins. Tack solder at each
place where glass touches. Remove pins and solder
together making sure to
tin all areas of exposed foil. Solder both sides of the
shamrock.

Step
4: Solder Glass to Twisted Wire
Wrap the twisted wire around the Terra Cotta Pot. Cut
the twisted wire leaving enough to create a hook. See
picture above, space the glass pieces as desired and
solder to the twisted wire.

5: Cleanup and Patina
Clean with soap and water. Use black patina to turn the solder lines black and rinse with water and dry. A glass wax can be used if desired to polish and enhance the glass and color of the patina.
