Step
1: Cut Box Sides and Bottom
Cut
4 pieces of fusible glass 3” x 2 ½” for the box sides.
Cut 1 piece of fusible glass 2 ½” x 2 ½” for the box
bottom. Note: Use any fusible glass of your choice for the box sides
and bottom. Clear was used for this project.
Step
2: - Preparation
Clean Glass: Using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry
and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.
Clean
& Prep Kiln Shelf: Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer) or cut an
8 inch square of shelf paper.
Step
3: Decorate Box Sides
Using just a
tiny spec of Elmer's™ Glue, position a pre-cut stocking on each
box side. Sprinkle red and white frit on the box side background
being careful not to get any on the pre-cut stockings.
Tip:
It is important to note that you need to make sure to touch all
glass pieces by the outer edges to avoid finger oil or prints on the
surface of the glass.
Step
4: Place Project into Kiln
Using
fingers around the outer edges of the box sides or better yet wear
latex gloves pick up and place each box side on the kiln shelf. Note:
The box bottom does not get fused.

5: Tack Fuse
Use
the below tack fuse firing schedule.
