· Step 1: Remove Glass
To keep from breaking the precut pieces of glass, remove them from the package using an X-acto knife.

· Step 2Cut Contact Paper
Cut a 7” square of contact paper or sandblast resist. On a separate piece of paper draw a 7” box to be used for design placement.

· Step 3: Apply Silver Tape to Back of Dragonfly Wings
Place dragonfly wing smooth side down on the back side of the Bright Back silver tape and trace around it. Cut the wing out, remove the tape backing and secure the tape to the wing. Tape is adhered to the smooth side of the wing. Repeat for each wing.
· Step 4: Arrange Dragonfly, Flower, and Green Pieces

· Step 7: Mix the Diamond Crete™
Mix the Diamond Crete™ following the directions and precautions on the cement label. If you are using a fine grade out door cement, you may wish to add color to the cement by adding Colorants to the water, and then pour mixture into the cement. When mixed, pour cement slowly and evenly into the mold and try to be careful not to move the glass. You may even want to use an old soup ladle to put in the initial layer over the glass and then pour the rest in slowly. Do not move the mold while the cement is drying. Gently tap the sides of the mold for two to three minutes to release any air bubbles in the cement. Do not pick up and drop to release air bubbles.

· Step 8: Let Stone Cure
Wait approximately 45 minutes to one hour (time may vary due to climate or Diamond Crete™ instructions) for the cement to harden. The cement will warm as it hardens and once it has cooled it will firm up (there will be no visible water on the surface) and can be removed from the mold.

· Step 9: Remove Stone from Mold
It is important to remove the stone and not leave it in the mold. Turn the mold over and lift up the edges of the mold to help it release the stepping stone after several gentle pulls on either side of the mold. Peel off the contact paper. Clean off any excess cement covering the glass. Use a razor blade to remove any concrete that may have covered the dragonfly wings.

· Step 10:  Final Cleanup and Curing
If any air bubbles blemish the surface of the cement, fill in by mixing up a small amount of cement into a paste and rub it into the holes in a circular motion. Any marks or contact paper lines on the surface of the cement can be smoothed out using fine sandpaper. Elevate the stone to allow air to circulate around the stone for 28 days. Use a water sealer such as Thompson’s Water Seal to seal the stone after the curing process.

Tip: Allow stone to cure for 24-48 hours before moving.

Tip: Do Not grind your glass pieces. Cement and/or grout will not cover chipped glass edges.
