FUSING SUPPLIES:
Item# 42017 Shelf Paper 1 square foot

Miscellaneous Supplies
· Kiln Wash
· Elmer’s Glue
· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Liquid
· Cloth with very little lint

Clean Up Supplies:

· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Detergent
· Cloth with very little lint (old T-shirt)

OPTIONAL ASSEMBLY:  This project could be made using only glass glue.

Step 1: Preparation
Clean Glass: Using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard. 

Prep Mold: Apply a good coat of kiln wash to the mold set aside to dry. 
Clean & Prep Kiln Shelf: Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer) or cut an 8 inch square of shelf paper.

Step 2:  Position Glass: Dot Elmer’s glue on Glass Gingerbread men and position as desired.  Repeat for pieces of red noodle to look like a red ribbon holding their hands together. Randomly position glass stringers with a dot of glue. 

Option note: If using Glass Frit instead of glass stringers and noodles, brush off any pieces you do not want or use a cue tip to move them.

Tip: It is important to note that you need to make sure to touch all glass pieces by the outer edges to avoid finger oil or prints on the surface of the glass. 

Step 3:  Place Project into Kiln: Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf. 

Step 4:  Tack Fuse Use the below tack fuse firing schedule.

Step 6: Prepare Kiln for Slump Process: Take the kiln shelf out of the kiln. Using the kiln posts, set the kiln washed mold in the middle of the kiln. Place the tack fused project on the mold.

Step 7: Slump Fuse: Use the below firing schedule to slump.
