Step-By-Step Instructions & Glass How To information

Step 1 - Preparation
· Clean Glass and bottle topper glue pad using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard. 

· Cut out the desired letters from your decal and set aside.

· Clean & Prep Kiln & Mold: 
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln 

Cut out a paper circle smaller than the base glass to allow desire amount of boarder.  Apply a liberal coat of the  paint medium to the clear glass cap. Center the paper on the glass.  Use your paint sifter to sift the powdered paint over the entire medium.  Carefully remove the paper circle and then allow the medium to dry enough to position the top glass without sliding on the base glass.  Make sure the two piece of glass are aligned.

Let all the medium and paint to dry completely before applying the decals.

Remove any decal paper cover. Place decal in a small amount of clean water and using a pair of tweezers take the decal out of the water when it starts to curl about 10 seconds.  Slide off of the paper backing and place the Decal on the top surface glass.  Smooth out decals and remove bubbles.  Set Glass with decal on top of the base glass.

Step 3:  Place into Kiln

Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.   Leave a minimum of 1/2" (13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not touch and fuse together.

Attach the metal finding using the Triolyse glue.  Make sure the glass is clean and dry and when placing it on the center, back side.  Maximum strength is reached after 6 hours. (Read the Tips & Tricks for using Triolyse Glue)
