FUSING SUPPLIES:

· 4” x 6” Acrylic Picture Frame
· Elmer's™ Glue 
· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Detergent
· Cloth with very little lint (old T-shirt)
· Cold Polishing - (one of the following)
· Grinder 
· Abrasive Stone 
· Diamond Nail File
· 3M™ Diamond Coated Sanding Sponges

Small Fused Project step-by-step instructions:

Clean Up Supplies:

· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Detergent
· Cloth with very little lint (old T-shirt)

Step 1: Cut Black Base

Cut a 1¼” strip from the 4” x 4” fusible black glass.  

Step 2 - Preparation
· Clean Glass using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard. 

· Clean & Prep Kiln: 
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln

· Position each piece of glass evenly on top of each other and let sit for a few minutes.

Step 4:  Place into Kiln Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.

Step 6: Prepare Fused Project
If possible, leave the kiln sit unopened until the next day so your project has had plenty of time to anneal back to room temperature  and it is ready to use. Use abrasives on any rough edges you need to smooth.  If you do find you need to do a lot of abrasive or use a grinder you may need to refire the finished piece to polish the edges. 

Step 7: Glue Fused Heart Base to the Acrylic Frame
Use Triolyse glue to attach the fused heart base to the acrylic frame
