Step-By-Step Instructions & Glass How To information

Step 1 - Preparation
· Clean Glass and bail using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.

· Optional: Trim the seagull from the top of the decal, set aside the rest of the decal to use on your pendant.

· Clean & Prep Kiln & Mold:
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln

Step 2:  Prep Decal & Paint.  (See Glass Tips & Tricks section: How to use Fusible Glass Decals)

Remove the protective cover paper from the decal. Soak the double circle decal and then apply to the surface of the top clear glass making sure to align the decal to the bottom end of the oval. Smooth out any air bubbles.  Allow to dry.

(See Glass Tips & Tricks section: How to use Glass Bubble Paints)

Apply a thin coat of the bubble paint medium to the base glass. Use your paint sifter to sift the powdered paint over the entire medium, first the Blue Green and then a fine layer of white (or mixed the two and then apply).  Allow the medium to dry enough to position the top glass (decal side up) without sliding.  Make sure the two piece of glass are aligned.

Let all the bubble paint medium to dry completely.

Step 3:  Place into Kiln

Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.   Leave a minimum of 1/2" (13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not touch and fuse together.
