Step-By-Step Instructions & Glass How To information

Step 1 - Preparation
· Clean Glass and bail using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard. 

· Trace your clear glass cross right onto the paper cover of the decal to use as a pattern.  Cut out the Decal.

· Clean & Prep Kiln & Mold: 
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln 

Remove the protective cover paper from the decal. Soak the double circle decal and then apply to the surface of the clear glass making sure to align the decal to the cross. Smooth out any air bubbles.  Allow to dry.

Flip over the glass cross with the decal on the bottom. This will be like a paint by number project. Mix your powdered paints with the paint medium.  Decide which circles you want to be what colors.  Pick one color and paint it into the circles, using the black decal as a guide.  Paint up to the edge of the decal.  Repeat with the next two colors.  Notes: We left some circles not painted so they would display as white. Also, do not thin the paint too much or the colors will be more water color like, pastel in shade.

Let all the paint dry completely.

Step 2:  Place into Kiln Flip the clear glass cross over, paint side on top of white glass cross. Centered.

Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.   Leave a minimum of 1/2" (13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not touch and fuse together.

Attach the metal finding using the Triolyse glue.  Make sure the glass is clean and dry and when placing it on the center, back side.  Maximum strength is reached after 6 hours. (Read the Tips & Tricks for using Triolyse Glue)
