Small Fused Project step-by-step instructions:

Clean Up Supplies:

· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Detergent
· Cloth with very little lint (old T-shirt)

Step 1: Preparation
· Clean Glass:  using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.

· Cut your colored glass:
Turquoise Glass: 8 inches long x 6 inches wide
Green Glass: 8 inches long x 2 inches wide
Clear Glass: 8 inches long x 8 inches wide (base)

Tip:  Grind the 2 outer corners of turquoise and green glass to round them slightly and it will make for a nicer appearance.

· Clean & Prep Kiln:
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln

Step 2: Prepare Project
Using Fuser's Glue position the outer the turquoise and green glass onto the 8 x 8 Clear base.  Allow to dry at least 10 minutes before moving.

Step 3:  Kiln Firing Process-Full Fuse

Pick up the glass around outer edges or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project onto the Shelf Paper in the kiln.

If possible, leave the kiln sit unopened until the next day so your project has had plenty of time to anneal back to room temperature.

Step 4: Place on to Mold and into Kiln & Kiln Firing Process-Slump:  Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project onto the prepared mold and then place it into the kiln.

Place a thin layer of Fuser's Glue on the surface and snap the white zig zig pieces and position in desired pattern.  Allow to dry so glass will not move. (you could do this above for full fuse, we liked the texture to remain so we are adding the zig zag glass just prior to slumping)

Note: Place mold on kiln post.

MEDIUM PROJECTS  ·  FULL SLUMP  ·  2 LAYERS
