Step 1: Preparation
Clean Glass: Using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent.
Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or
cardboard.
Clean & Prep Kiln Shelf: Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
or cut squares of shelf paper.
Step 2: Assemble Glass
Using just
a tiny spec of
Fuser's Glue
on the
matching edges of the Yin Yang and push together. Use Fuser's Glue
on a surface of the Yin Yang and lay the
clear cap glass on top, aligned and centered over the
base. Let sit and dry to hold all pieces into
position.
Note:
Elmer's™ Glue
is not recommended as it will not burn off cleanly in
the center area and may leave dark spots under the clear
cap.
Step 3: Place Project into Kiln
Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass
project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and
place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.
Step 4: Full Fuse |

Step 5: Add Glass Dicro Dazzlers
Use a marker to dot where you want the glass Dicro Dazzlers. Place a drop
of Painter's Medium or Elmer's glue on each mark and
using your Bead Tweezers, pickup and position each Dicro
Dot, Dichroic side down for the best brilliance. Allow to dry
completely before moving. |
Step 6: Place into Kiln
Using Fingers around outer edges
of the glass project or better yet wear latex
gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf
paper/shelf. Leave a minimum of 1/2"
(13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not
touch and fuse together.
