Step-By-Step Instructions & Glass How To information

Step 1: Preparation - (This is the Most important step to remove oils) Clean the Finding settings using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.

Step 2: Prepare the Glass Dicro Dots - Pour out your Dicro Dots onto a paper plate, most of them will natural roll and land Dichroic side down because it is slightly heavier and flat. Use separate paper plates for each color you want to use so they are easier to pour back in their storage zip top bag.

Using your Glass Bead Tweezers, turn over any needed to make sure the Dichroic side is down.

Step 3:  Adhering glass to hair finding - Apply the Triolyse activator to the end of each round mount on the finding.  NOTE: run your brush over the lip of the bottle to remove excess before brushing on to finding.  Let the finding sit 3 to 5 minutes.

Light lay a piece of paper towel over the finding to absorb any excess activator.  Then carefully squeeze a few drops of the glue onto you paper plate.  Using your bead tweezers pick up a Glass Dicro Dot and dip the Dichroic side into the glue and then set into position.  It is helpful if you point the setting directly straight up and not at an angle to position the Dicro Dot.  Use a toothpick to spin the Dicro Dot until you are satisfied the Dichroic is sitting on the setting and it is displaying the most brilliance.

Move on to the next one and repeat the process.

Notes:  Once you start applying the glue, you must work fast until all the Dicro Dots dots are  in position.  Also, it is best to start with the center settings and work your way outward. Clip the bobby pin to a flat surface to allow it to sit with the Dicro Dots face up until dry.

The glue with reach it's maximum strength in 6 hours.
(Read the Tips & Tricks for using Triolyse Glue)

Step 4: Finish Project -

The next day test the settings by rocking you finger back and forth over the settings to insure you got a good bond and they are firmly in position. Clean the glass and hair pin finding with soap and water to remove any excess activator.
