Small Fused Project step-by-step instructions:
|
|
·
Step 1: Preparation
· Clean Glass using Alcohol or Dish Washing
Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of
paper or cardboard.
(Grind corners of squares for a more finished look)
· Clean & Prep Kiln:
· Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
· Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
· Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf
and Shelf Paper into Kiln
·
Break Glass Noodles into small pieces to fit and set aside
|
·
Step 2: Prepare Glass
- Cut a 2 inch white square for the base of the pin, grind
all 4 corners slightly.
- Cut a 1/2 inch square, grind all 4 corners slightly.
- Grind the straight inside edges of the bones to make
them more narrow
-
Position each bone onto the surface of
the white glass square in a cross. Glue them in place using Fuser's Glue.
-Position the small 1/2 inch square to form the chin of
the Skull and place the 1/2 inch round white circle on
top to form the head, overlapping the 1/2 inch square.
Glue them into place using Fuser's Glue.
-Snap black stringer for chin area and break noodle into
a triangular piece to form nose. Smaller pieces
stack can form the eyes or
make black frit balls, even better. Glue
them into place using Fuser's Glue.
- Let sit at least 10 minutes until dry. |
|
·
Step 3 - Place into Kiln Using Fingers around outer edges
of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex
gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf
paper/shelf. Leave a minimum of 1/2"
(13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not
touch and fuse together.
