Step-By-Step Instructions & Glass How To information

Step 1 - Preparation
· Clean bail:  using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.

· Clean & Prep Kiln & Mold:
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer) to Mold. Use blow dryer in-between coats or air dry.  (Note: You should re-apply primer after each firing and use a stiff bristle brush to remove previous spent primer.)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln

Step 2: Prepare Glass:  (See Glass Tips & Tricks section: How to cast glass Frit)

Fill mold with frit until it is in a mound above he mold.  Use a small brush to pull frit down from the sides toward the middle before fusing. (This keeps the frit from sticking to the sides of the mold while fusing.)

Step 3:  Place into Kiln - Place mold on kiln posts in kiln; this will ensure an even flow of heat around the entire mold. Fuse using the firing schedule below:
