SMALL: FREE FUSED GLASS PROJECT
Step-By-Step Instructions & Glass How To information

Step 1 - Preparation
· Clean Glass and bail using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.

· Clean & Prep Kiln & Mold:
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln

Step 2: Put Glass project together  (See Glass Tips & Tricks section: How to use Fusible Glass Decals)

Cut out the desired fusible tree decal or scraps of trees decals.  Place in a small amount of clean water and using a pair of tweezers take the decal out of the water when it starts to curl about 20 seconds. Slide off of the paper backing onto the clear glass and smooth out any air bubbles.

Place clear oval, centered on top of Dichroic Oval.  Let dry 10 minutes.

Note: If you apply decal to Dichroic Glass they will sometimes move some as the glass moves and make the design less visually crisp.  If you want crisp lines apply decal to the surface of the Clear Glass Cap.

Step 3:  Place into Kiln Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.   Leave a minimum of 1/2" (13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not touch and fuse together.

Step 4: Full Fuse

If possible, leave the kiln sit unopened until the next day so your project has had plenty of time to anneal back to room temperature.

Step 5: Adding Jewelry Findings

Attach the metal finding using the Triolyse glue.  Make sure the glass is clean and dry and when placing it on the center, back side.  Maximum strength is reached after 6 hours. (Read the Tips & Tricks for using Triolyse Glue)
