Small Fused Project step-by-step instructions:
Clean Up Supplies:
· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Detergent
· Cloth with very little lint (old T-shirt)
|
|
Step
1 - Preparation
· Clean Glass & Metal Inclusion using Alcohol or Dish Washing
Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of
paper or cardboard.
· Clean & Prep Kiln:
· Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
· Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
· Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf
and Shelf Paper into Kiln
|
Step 2: Adding Glass Sparkle Paint
Cut Dental Floss Ribbon not String into 1 inch pieces. Place one end
in the center of the heart and press it against the
heart and put it towards the outside. Continue to
place the dental floss evenly around the entire
parameter of the heart. Make sure they are tight
against the glass. Sprinkle the gold sparkle paint
over the entire surface of the glass using the
Paint Sifter. When Fuser's Glue glue had almost
dried, pull the strips of dental floss straight up and
off the glass. |
|
Step 3: Adding Fused Glass Metal Inclusion
It is important to keep your glass and the metal inclusion free of oil and from your
fingers in order to have a clean surface.
Position the metal inclusions as desired in the
center of the heart and use
only a
tiny spec of Fuser's Glue
on the back side to hold it in place and a tiny spec on
the front side to hold the clear cap in place. Allow to
dry before moving. |
|
Step 4: Place into Kiln Using Fingers around outer edges
of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex
gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf
paper/shelf. Leave a minimum of 1/2"
(13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not
touch and fuse together.
