·
Kiln Wash or Hi-fire shelf paper
· Elmer’s White Glue
· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Liquid
· Cloth with very little lint

Small Fused Project step-by-step instructions:

Step 1:  Preparation
· Clean Glass using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.

· Clean & Prep Kiln:
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and/or Shelf Paper into Kiln

Step 2: Add Enhancements

Lightly cover the open areas of the glass with a light coating of Fuser's Glue and position each grape and leaf and finally, sprinkle the clear frit over the clear areas exposed area.

Using a brown or dark colored stringer, snap them into pieces and using a small drop of Elmer's glue them on top of the frit and leaves to form the grape vines and leaf veins.

Let parts dry for at least 10 minutes until they do not move.

Then turn upside down over a paper plate or towel to remove excess frit and place it back into container.

Step 3: Full Fuse (If you want more definition from the grapes, run a Tack Fuse cycle instead of a Full Fuse)

Tip: It is important to note that you need to make sure to touch all glass pieces by the outer edges to avoid finger oil or prints on the surface of the glass.

Place on top of the kiln shelf paper/shelf and full fuse.

If possible, leave the kiln sit unopened until the next day so your project has had plenty of time to anneal back to room temperature.
Step 4: Adding Night Light Clip

Make sure the glass and the nigh light clip are clean and dry and before applying adhesive.  Place the clip on the center, back side along the bottom edge of the glass circle.  Attach the Metal Night Light Clip using the Triolyse glue. We suggest using small clips or even clothes pins to hold the clip in place while drying. Maximum strength is reached after 6 hours.

(Read the Tips & Tricks for using Triolyse Glue)

Tip: If you are having trouble getting the clip to attach and you are sure the glass and clip are clean it is most likely you need to scuff up the surface of either the metal and/or the glass where you are attaching the clip to provide a surface in order for the glue to bond.
