Step 1 - Preparation
· Clean Glass:
using Alcohol or Dish Washing
Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of
paper or cardboard.
· Cut out Gold Boarder Decals, make sure to remove tissue paper & set aside.
Note: It is important to follow the instructions that come
with your decals! Keeping you glass free of oil from your
fingers is important.
· Clean & Prep Kiln:
· Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
· Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
· Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf
and Shelf Paper into Kiln

Step 2: Prepare Project for
Decals
Take
the Decals and s oak
in distilled water for 20 to 30 seconds. Slide and
apply to the front side of the glass to desired locations.
Smooth out any air bubbles.
It is very important to make sure the
decals are completely dry before
firing in the kiln as to avoid them steaming off the
glass. So ideally, leave them dry over night.

Step 3: Place into Kiln Using Fingers around outer edges
of the fusible glass project or wear latex
gloves, pick up (supporting the hat and place the project on the kiln shelf
paper/shelf. Leave a minimum of 1/2"
(13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not
touch and fuse together.

If possible, leave the kiln sit unopened
until the next day so your project has had plenty of
time to anneal back to room temperature and it is
ready to use.

Clean Glass and Hang using Suction cup or thread with
ribbon or clear fishing line.
