Step-By-Step Instructions & Glass How To information

Step 1 - Preparation
· Clean Glass and bail using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard. 

· Clean & Prep Kiln & Mold: 
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln 

Snap or break the desired paint threads
Apply Paint medium or Fusers Glue to the surface of the glass and then place or sprinkle the paint threads.
You can cap with clear glass or apply paints to surface of cap glass.

Make sure the two piece of glass are aligned. Allow the medium of glue to dry before fusing.

Tip:  You can bend the paint thread by holding them with tweezers over the tip of a candle flame, turning to obtain desired shape.  Let cool and then place on glass.

Step 3:  Place into Kiln

Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.   Leave a minimum of 1/2" (13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not touch and fuse together.

Attach the metal finding using the Triolyse glue.  Make sure the glass is clean and dry and when placing it on the center, back side.  Maximum strength is reached after 6 hours. (Read the Tips & Tricks for using Triolyse Glue)
