Other Supplies:

· Grinder
· Abrasive Stone
· Diamond Nail File
· 3M™ Diamond Coated Sanding Sponges

Clean Up Supplies:

· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Detergent
· Cloth with very little lint (old T-shirt)

Step 1 - Preparation
· Snap 4 -2 inch black noodles and make sure they are close to the same length.

· Clean Glass:  using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.

· Clean & Prep Kiln:
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer) to shelf and mold
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf & one to drape over mold later
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln

Step 2:  Glass Assembly: Center the Black circle on to the Clear Circle.  Find the exact center using a ruler measuring from top to bottom and left to right.  Mark on the clear glass as well.  This is where the longest, 2 inch, black noodles will be place to mark 12, 3, 6 & 9.

Step 3: Paint Glass: Draw an outline for the beehive using the yellow paint in the general shape of a layered cake with each layer getting smaller towards the top. Then draw horizontal lines.  Don't worry if any of these are not solid, you want a soft edge. Using the Gold Glass Line paint soft swirls along each horizontal line.  Then using the Yellow, fill in the rest of the black with horizontal brush strokes.  Let dry.  Then go back and paint large and small yellow dots. after each section go back with a wet sponge and light touch up and down like a stamping action to soften the dots.  If necessary go over the out line of the entire site with a watered down layer of the yellow paint.

Step 4  - Place into Kiln: Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.   Leave a minimum of 1/2" (13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not touch and fuse together.

NOTE: Optional Slump the entire piece in a 10 inch plate mold.

Step 4: Drill Hole in center of glass for clock to be placed.
(See Instructions for Glass Drilling.)

Step 5: Add Bees: Measure equal distances between 12 and 3 and place 2 bumble bees at equal distances to represent 1 & 2.   Repeat the process to represent 4 & 5, 7 & 8, 10 & 11.  Using E6000 glue each one in place.

Step 6: Add Clock: Insert clock from behind, layer the washers, clock hands and then tighten the nut.

Step 7: Insert battery in clock and hang.

Note:  This clock could also be set on a stand instead of hung on a wall.
