Kiln Wash or Hi-fire shelf paper

Elmer’s White Glue

Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Liquid

Cloth with very little lint
Small Fused Project step-by-step instructions:
Step 1: Preparation
- Clean Glass using Alcohol or Dish Washing
Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of
paper or cardboard.
- Cut
COE 96 striped glass using center of Oval pattern below and save all
scrap pieces for top of oval.
- Cut White and base
colored Glass using the outside diameter of the pattern below.
(unless you are creating your own stripped glass.
- If creating your own
stripped glass. Cut Clear Glass using the outside diameter of
the pattern below and snap the colored stringers,
black, lavender and pink. and using a tiny spec of Elmer's
glue position onto the clear oval glass. Make sure
that the stringer does not hang over.
Step 2: Position Glass

Using a tiny spec of Elmer’s Glue
on the outer edges position the scrapes of strips glass
around the outer edges of the white glass making sure
not to be any more than 1/2 inch from an edge.
Adhere the small striped oval to the base glass.
Let dry for at least 10 minutes or until flowers do not
move.
· Clean & Prep Kiln:
· Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
· Cut Shelf Paper 1/2 inch larger
than the circles
· Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf
and Shelf Paper into Kiln
· Prep Molds: Apply a good coat of kiln
wash to the mold, set aside to dry.
Step 3: Full Fuse
Set the 3 layered prepared
glass
into the kiln to fire making sure the outer edges align. Tip: It is important to note
that you need to make sure to touch all glass pieces by the outer
edges to avoid finger oil or prints on the surface of the glass.
Place the handle in the kiln.
Place on top of the kiln shelf paper/shelf and full fuse.
