Small Fused Project step-by-step instructions:

Step 1:  Preparation
· Clean Glass using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.

- Using a tiny spec of Elmer’s Glue position flower on 3 inch clear and place these centered on top of the Clear 4 inch circle base. Let dry for at least 10 minutes or until flowers do not move.

- Using a tiny spec of Elmer’s Glue position (COE 96 pebbles) in a circular pattern on the 4 inch white circle.  If not using pebbles, stack 2 each in 6 postions instead of 1 pebble. Let dry for at least 10 minutes or until flowers do not move.

- Stack 2 to 4 of 1/2 circles to form the handle or combine 1/2 inch COE 96 circles and a pebble on top. Use a tiny spec of Elmer's glue to hold them together.  Let dry for at least 10 minutes before moving.

· Clean & Prep Kiln:
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper 1/2 inch larger than the circles
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln

· Prep Molds: Apply a good coat of kiln wash to the mold, set aside to dry.

Step 2: Full Fuse

Set both prepared glass circles into the kiln to fire. Tip: It is important to note that you need to make sure to touch all glass pieces by the outer edges to avoid finger oil or prints on the surface of the glass.

Place the handle in the kiln.
Note: If you want the handle to stay tall, then use a tack fused schedule instead of a full fuse.

Place on top of the kiln shelf paper/shelf and full fuse.

If possible, leave the kiln sit unopened until the next day so your project has had plenty of time to anneal back to room temperature.
Step 3 - Prepare for Slump Process:
Take the kiln shelf out of the kiln. Using the kiln posts, set the kiln washed molds in the middle of the kiln.

NOTE: Using some Elmer's glue center the handle over the center of the flower and if desired embellish with small pieces of stringer. Place a circle of Thin Fire paper over the Dome Mold making sure the clear base with flower and handle over the dome.  Set the white fused glass circle, placing the amber legs facing down to the inside of the plate mold.

NOTES:
- If you over fire and the glass starts to move, you may have to grind to get a more even look and then do a fire polish over the same dome mold.

- If you find that you can not remove the glass from you mold (may occur when glass if over fired) place the mod back in the kiln and fire to 1,100 degrees for 2 minutes, slide mold off glass and leave it in kiln using long tweezers and gloves, then close lid and turn off allowing the kiln to cool to room temperature.  Do not fire to higher temperatures or glass will loose it's shape.
