Step 1 - Preparation
Clean Glass: Using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent.
Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or
cardboard.
Clean & Prep Kiln Shelf: Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
or cut squares of shelf paper.
Break up small pieces of Dichroic glass.
Step 2 – Assemble Glass
Using just
a tiny spec of
Adhesive
Glastac
on the
matching edges of the Yin Yang and push together. Use Glastac
on a surface of the Yin Yang and lay the
blue cap glass on top, aligned and centered over the
base. Let sit and dry to hold all pieces into
position.
Note:
Elmer's™ Glue
is not recommended as it will not burn off cleanly in
the center area and may leave dark spots under the clear
cap.
Apply a small drop of white glass
paint centered onto each side of the Yin Yang, we use
Glass Enamel because it provided a satin finish over the
Glassline paint which is a flat finish
Step 3 - Place Project into Kiln
Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass
project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and
place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.
Step 4 – Full Fuse |
