Step
4 - Prepare Fused Project: If possible, leave the kiln sit unopened
until the next day so your project has had plenty of
time to anneal back to room temperature and it is
ready to use. Use abrasives on any rough edges you need
to smooth.
|
|
Step
5 - Slump Glass: Place the large end of the mold
down and place at least a 6 x 6 inch piece of Thin Fire
paper over mold, the same size as the glass.
Center the Thin fire paper and the glass on the small
end of the mold. Slump per chart.

Note: If the glass will not slide off
the mold, you may have to set it small size down in the
kiln and fire to approximately 1,200 for 1 minute or
just until the glass starts to separate from the mold,
flash cool to no less than 1,000 degrees, turn off the
kiln and allow to anneal back to room temperature. |
