Step 1 - Preparation
Clean Glass:  Using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.

Clean & Prep Kiln Shelf: Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer) or cut squares of shelf paper.

Place the clear heart on the smoothest size of the Dichroic Scrap glass.
Tip: If you have a corner, place the tip of the heart in it to help reduce the amount of cutting.

Trace the heart on the scrap glass and then cut.  Grind if needed.
Tip: It is better to have the Dichroic scrap slightly smaller than the clear than  larger than the clear cap, especially if the
Dichroic glass is textured.

Step 2 – Assemble Glass & apply Decal

Using just a tiny spec of Adhesive Glastac or Elmer's™ Glue, position the Clear pre-cut heart on top of the Dichroic Heart.

Step 3 - Place Project into Kiln

Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.

Step 4 – Full Fuse

If possible, leave the kiln sit unopened until the next day so your project has had plenty of time to anneal back to room temperature.

Step 5:  Low Fire Gold Decal Application

Cut out the cat design of choice.  Soak 20 to 30 seconds in clear cool water. Slide off decal onto Clear glass and position as desired. Smooth out the decal to make sure there are no bubble and decal lays flat on the surface of the glass. Let dry 20 minutes.

Note: You only need to fire at the highest temperature to allow the 22k low fire gold to bond to the glass for a few minutes and then quickly flash vent to 1,000, and then allow to cool down.
