OTHER SUPPLIES:
· Elmer's™ Glue
· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Detergent
· Cloth with very little lint (old T-shirt)

Step 1 - Preparation

· Clean Glass:  using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.

· Cut out Black Decal Letters, remove tissue paper & set aside. We made RIP on the front tomb stone and Boo for the Ghost. Don't be afraid to cut them apart to create the shape or layout desired.
Note: It is important to follow the instructions that come with your decals! Keeping you glass free of oil from your fingers is important.

· Cut 2 moon shapes one slightly larger than the other set aside.

· To form tomb stones, cut all the White Jewelry shapes in half, don't worry if they are evenly cut in half or if they are at a slight angle, it makes for more interest.

· Clean & Prep Kiln:
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln

Step 2 - Position Glass:  Using just a tiny spec of Elmer's™ Glue , position each tomb stone, the Ghost and Bat.  Make sure not to position too close to edges.

Step 3 - Add Decorative Embellishment to Glass :
- Use Glassline Copper Paint, on the backside of the glass to create a horizon and paint the entire outer edge on the front side, let dry.
- Apply the larger of the two moon shapes to the back side of the clear glass.
- Use the Dark Blue paint and apply to the backside where the sky would be, above the copper horizon and it is ok to paint over the backside of the moon.
- Using a fan brush paint in the background on front side of glass, below the copper horizon and around the tomb stones, let dry and then layer in darker shadowing using a thin layer of black at the horizon and in front of each tomb stone.
- Apply the black letters RIP  to front tomb stone and Boo in sky near ghost.
- Apply the smaller of the two moons to the front side over the moon in the back.
- Layer in, thinly, white mixed with black around tomb stones.
- Layer in thinly yellow as if the moon light was hitting the tops of the tomb stones and perhaps a few clouds
- Using a fine brush, put in some details on tomb stones to emulate writing and give the ghost some personality.
- Glue bat into position with a small dot of Elmer's glue.
- Apply 2 dots for eyes on bat head with gold pen.
- Fan brush a layer of dark blue on the front side all around the edges leaving the copper showing thru on the outer edge.
- Apply Painter's Medium to front surface of plate but not to the Ghost, Tomb stones or Bat.  Then quickly sprinkle a layer of clear glass all over painter's medium.  Using a dry brush remove it from any of the frit from the glass shapes.

Let dry for at least 30 minutes or more.

Turn clear base upside down and tap lightly on the back side to allow loose frit to drop off.  Touch up with more medium if needed in any blank areas and repeat.  Then gather the loose frit and pour back into container.

Step 4  - Place into Kiln: Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.  Leave a minimum of 1/2" (13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not touch and fuse together.

If possible, leave the kiln sit unopened until the next day so your project has had plenty of time to anneal back to room temperature  and it is ready to use. Use abrasives on any rough edges you need to smooth.  If you do find you need to do a lot of abrasive or use a grinder you may need to refire the finished piece to polish the edges.

Step 5 - Slump  Fused Project (optional): Place on plate mold and follow the Slump Schedule.
