Small Fused Project step-by-step instructions:

Clean Up Supplies:

· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Detergent
· Cloth with very little lint (old T-shirt)

Step 1 - Preparation
· Clean Glass:  using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard. 

· Cut out Black Decals, make sure to remove tissue paper & set aside. Don't be afraid to cut them apart to create the facial features.
Note: It is important to follow the instructions that come with your decals! Keeping you glass free of oil from your fingers is important.

· Cut the small green piece of glass in half (used for the eyes)

· Clean & Prep Kiln: 
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln

· Step 2: Prepare Project for Dicro Slide & Decals
Place the large clear base on the backside of the Dicro Slide ™ and draw around the glass.  Cut out the dicro slide.  Soak in distilled water for 20 to 30 seconds. Slide and apply to the back side of the glass.  Don't smooth out any air bubbles as normally recommended, if you wish to have pitted look to represent a warted witch's face.  If you find there are no air bubbles, then poke holes in the dicro slide with a pin in a few locations. (Read the Glass Tips & Tricks for application) 

Take alphabet/numbers from the Hi Fire Decal, soak in distilled water for 20 to 30 seconds. Slide and apply to the front side of the glass to form the facial features.

Use a toothpick or plastic Cocktail fork to put a "tiny" drop of glue to adhere the Witch's hat to the top of the front side of the Clear Base.  You  should use another small piece of glass to support the part of the hat that extends out over the clear to allow the glue to dry and bond.  

Position the two green pieces of glass for the eyes and using a "tiny" drop of glue place on the surface of the glass, over the Hi Fire Decal for the eyes.

Let dry for at least 20 minutes before moving piece. 

· Step 4:  Place into Kiln Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or  wear latex gloves, pick up (supporting the hat and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.   Leave a minimum of 1/2" (13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not touch and fuse together.

· Step 5: Kiln Firing Process- Full Fuse

· Step 6: Adding Jewelry Findings

Attach the clear vinyl Tie-Tack Back, on the back near the top of the clear base so it will be hidden behind the hat and more centered to support weight of the face and pin, using the Triolyse glue.  Make sure the glass is clean and dry and when placing it on the center, back side.  Maximum strength is reached after 6 hours. (Read the Tips & Tricks for using Triolyse Glue)
