OTHER SUPPLIES:
· Elmer's™ Glue
· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Detergent
· Cloth with very little lint (old T-shirt)

Step 1 - Preparation

· Clean Glass:  using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard.

· Cut out Black Decal Design, remove tissue paper & set aside. Don't be afraid to cut them apart to create the shape or layout desired.
Note: It is important to follow the instructions that come with your decals! Keeping you glass free of oil from your fingers is important.

· Clean & Prep Kiln:
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln

Step 2 - Position Glass:  Using just a tiny spec of Elmer's™ Glue , position each pumpkin.  Make sure not to position too close to edges.

Step 3 - Add Decorative Embellishment to Glass:  Use Glass Painter's Medium, squeeze a couple of rings around the outer edges.  Using a clean finger, smooth it out to the edged and then randomly push your finger in and out toward the center in an irregular pattern, being careful not to touch the pumpkins or get too close.

Then place clear circle on a paper plate or paper towel and generously sprinkle black frit over the areas containing the painter's medium.  Lightly press the press to encourage it to stick.  Let dry for 30 minutes.

Turn clear base upside down and tap lightly on the back side to allow loose frit to drop off.  Touch up with more medium if needed in any blank areas and repeat.  Then gather the loose frit and pour back into container.

DECAL: Soak the decal for 25 to 45 seconds and slide if off onto the surface of the Pumpkins.  Make sure to smooth out any air bubbles.  Let the decal dry for at least 30 minutes, best over night.

Step 4  - Place into Kiln:
Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.   Leave a minimum of 1/2" (13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not touch and fuse together.

If possible, leave the kiln sit unopened until the next day so your project has had plenty of time to anneal back to room temperature  and it is ready to use. Use abrasives on any rough edges you need to smooth.  If you do find you need to do a lot of abrasive or use a grinder you may need to refire the finished piece to polish the edges.

Step 5 - Slump  Fused Project (optional): To create an unusual flared edge to your plate, place it on the sushi mold and follow the Slump Schedule.
