Fused Project step-by-step instructions:
|
|
·
Step 1: Preparation
Either use
the 6" x
6" square of glass or cut each square of white and
clear up to the maximum size to fit the mold.
· Clean Glass using Alcohol or Dish Washing
Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of
paper or cardboard.
· Clean & Prep Kiln:
· Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer)
· Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
· Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf
and Shelf Paper into Kiln
· Prep Mold: Apply a good coat of kiln
wash to the mold, set aside to dry.
|
|
·
Step 2: Apply Glassline Paint Design
|
|
Place your pieces side by side before you start to apply
your design.
Find 3 jar lids or any
item that is the size of the circle you desire and will
fit inside one another. It is best if thy are a
washable material so you can clean inbetween
applications.
White Glass: Apply your glass line paint to the designs in
the center of the glass and work out to the other circles
to avoid messing up the previous shape. Let Dry 15
minutes.
Place Clear Glass over
the White and create your largest circles with the
Glassline paint and set aside.
White & Clear Glass:
Now complete the largest inside circle. Let Dry 15
minutes.
White & Clear Glass:
Now complete the smallest inside circle and then the last
and smallest Red Orange circle. . Let Dry 15 minutes.
TIP: When the Glassline
paint is completely dry you can use a wooden tooth pick
placed horizonal to the glass to remove any imperfections
in the design. Turn upside down to remove loose
paint and lightly brush off the rest of the loose paint.
|
|
|
|
Position the clear glass on top of white and
adhere the outer edges with a few tiny specs of Elmer's glue.
After the glass is dry, move
the prepare glass onto the kiln shelf paper/shelf and full
fuse.
