· Rubbing Alcohol, Dish Washing Detergent
· Cloth with very little lint (old T-shirt)

Small Fused Project step-by-step instructions:
 

· Step 1: Place your mold face down on Thin Fire Shelf Paper and trace it onto paper.  Cut on the inside of the line or Coat your mold with Kiln Wash.
· Clean Glass using Alcohol or Dish Washing Detergent. Then dry and set aside on a clean piece of paper or cardboard. 

· Clean & Prep Kiln: 
    · Apply Kiln Wash (Shelf Primer) & Make sure mold holes are open
    · Cut Shelf Paper to fit shelf
    · Place Kiln Shelf Supports, Shelf and Shelf Paper into Kiln

· Step 2: Put Glass project together 

· Find 2 plastic lids, making sure the largest fits inside the spoon and the small lid fits inside the larger lids.  Fill the small lid with yellow frit.  Fill the larger lid with blue glass and then place the smaller lid in the middle.

· Place the mold over the 2 lids, hold the lids and the spoon together and flip it over.  Fill around the large lid with a mixture of blue and clear frit until it is level with the edge of the spoon.

· Fill the handle with green glass Frit.

· Break and Place yellow and blue stringers and noodles in the spoon flower and green in the handle to form leaves..

· Fill the entire piece with clear frit

· Place Clear Glass Spoon Blank on top.

· Step 3:  Place into Kiln Using Fingers around outer edges of the fusible glass project or better yet wear latex gloves, pick up and place the project on the kiln shelf paper/shelf.   Leave a minimum of 1/2" (13 mm) space between each project to ensure they do not touch and fuse together.

· Step 4:  Kiln Firing Process- Full Fuse

Hold/Temp   5°F/ 3°C 955°F / 513°C 10 min. Hold Fire
Cool/Temp   Do Nothing 100°F / 38°C N/A DO NOT LOOK

· Step 5:  Prepare Fused Project
If possible, leave the kiln sit unopened until the next day so your project has had plenty of time to anneal back to room temperature  and it is ready to use.

Use abrasives on any rough edges you need to smooth.  If you do find you need to do a lot of abrasive or use a grinder you may need to refire the finished piece to polish the edges.
